ABOUT ME - Hello, everyone. My name is Michael Maugeri and I live in Bordentown, NJ. I'm a newspaper editor whose first love is art. Some of the prints I have for sale are from originals by my dear friend, Sarada, who is the host of this site. She is my favorite painter. The rest of the prints are from my own creations. I receive inspiration to create art from some of my most beloved sources -- the Moon, cold places, old Halloween postcards, Nature and the New Jersey Pine Barrens. I'm also inspired by colors, land formations and dreams. When I'm not painting, I enjoy reading (non-fiction, David Sedaris, Armistead Maupin) and listening to music (world, folk,electronic, outsider, noveltys, 70s). I also have three CDs recorded under the name "Mike!" which are available at www.orangeentropy.com. I also love studying the music, languages and culture of the Arctic, Sami (Lapp) and Scandinavian people. I enjoy 20th century art. My favorites include Agnes Martin, Franz Marc and Josef Albers. |
